MSS soft start module
1. Product introduction
1.1 General
MSS HV modularized solid soft starter which integrates thyristor components, bypass vacuum switch, trigger control system. This product has compact structure and independent soft start function.
Its working principle is to control the value of output voltage by adjusting the triggering angle of thyristor, and to meet various current and voltage requirements during motor start process. After the motor reaches normal speed, the bypass switch be closed which means the starting process is finished. MSS HV modularized soft starter will provide running protection to the motor.
The structure of this starter is similar to HV vacuum circuit breaker and it fits the KYN28 cabinet perfectly. MSS can upgrad the traditional HV switch cabinet to a device with both switch and soft start functions. Its performance can completely meet users’ requirements.
1.2 Range of application
MSS HV modularized solid soft starter is applicable for voltage reduction soft start of various large and medium HV motors.
Applicable motor range:
Voltage: 3.6/7.2/12KV
Power: 200~2000KW
Frequency: 50HZ/60HZ ± 2HZ
Phase sequence: works if input and output phase sequence is identical
Motor type: 3 phase HV AC motor
