1.Application range
AC synchronous motor is widely used in large oil gas transport, marine propulsion, pumped storage, defense wind tunnel test and other industrial large power conditions. Especially in steel industry, it is widely used in large blast furnace blower, gas power generation coal gas compressor, oxygen production compressor and other main production equipment.

2.2 Features
2.2.1 starting capacity less than motor rated capacity, starting current less than motor rated current, can provide perfect solution for synchronous motor in strict power grid situations.
2.2.2 starting process adopts double closed-loop PID control, together with constant magnetic algorithm, ensures precise and controllable speed, smooth start of motor, avoids motor unit’s point of resonance.
2.2.3 simple to use, position sensor not required, with patented algorithm the software can realize rotor position detection.
2.2.4 provides different starting curves for different loads, especially for large pump storage motor, gas generator, blast furnace blower fan and other devices.
2.2.5 adopts high-low-high control scheme which is same to Siemens, realizes not only new motor start, but also localization products replacement and reform of old system.
2.2.6 adopts large LCD screen, can realize visual information interaction before and during starting process, convenient to use and inspect.
2.2.7 variable optional starting mode, can realize all synchronous start in static condition, turning condition and speed condition.
2.2.8 super large storage space for history starting data and fault record date, can meet user’s 30 days information query demands. Larger space design available for specified demands.
2.2.9 integrated structure. User only need to provide secondary power source, excitation interlock and primary in-outcome line, which ensures the installation only needs half a day.
2.3 technical innovations
2.3.1 control unit adopts DPS+FPGA scheme, have both DPS software’s flexibility and FPGA hardware’s high-speed.
2.3.2 adopts DC pulsant technology in low speed mode, periodically reduce the DC link current to zero, to realize converter reversing.
2.3.3 the converter adopts load inductive potential auto reverse mode.
2.3.4 synchronous connection adopts software computing, its control algorithm ensures there will be no current impact during synchronization and the synchronization time will be short.

3.2 Working principle
HV synchronous frequency converting soft starting device adopts AC-DC-AC method. It consists of step-down transformer, rectification thyristor DC smoothing reactor, thyristor inverter, boosting transformer, synchronization device, rotor position detector and other components. The frequency converter start include: solid rotor start, low speed start, high speed start, synchronization full speed running, 4 processes. It adjusts output current and ensures motor is not out of synchronization by real-time tracking motor rotor position. According to preset starting speed curve it adjusts output frequency and drive the motor to full speed in specified time.
